November- Retroactively

 November

Early Child Celebrated All Religions' Month with four stations:

Islam Ramadan Read Alouds

Hinduism Diwali Song & Golden Spoon Hunt

Buddhism Meditation/Mindfulness

 Judaism Dreidel Games

Special thanks to the brilliance of Ms. Judy Clay

for putting together this enriching and age-appropriate experience for our youngest learners.

Lower School and Middle School
were treated to 7 speakers representing 7 faiths.

Station 1: Episcopalian,

Station 2: Judaism, Islam, and the Albanian Orthodox Church

The speakers shared about why their faith is important to them,
what it is like to share your faith with children,
special holidays, habits, or traditions of their faith,
and how faith is a journey.

The speakers were highly engaging
 and switched deftly
between addressing Lower School students and Middle school students.

The Students had amazing questions
that opened our eyes to the power of the panels sharing!

Special thanks to those who shared of themselves and their faiths with our 1-8 students.

Special thanks to the brilliance of Mrs. Goyer (nee Kathol)

for putting together this powerful and moving experience for our Lower and Middle School students.

Family of Families Piece

Special thanks to all of our families who
sent in a leaf representing your family
to contribute to this enormous piece in our MPR.

If you lost yours or need a new one, please contact jmyers@holychildacademy.com .

New Families this year will get one sent home the last week of December.

Addition special thanks to Ms. Brown and Mrs. Mueller, resident forces of nature,
for all of the creative energy, brute strength, and sense of timing
that made this a reality.
